• Decoiling Option - Optional Add-on module for PLUS 2D Light

PLUS 2D supports using coils as stock. It nest in coils in such way that your wastage will be minimize.

• The parts need a trimming or grinding margin.

When the parts are cut with the turret punches or using gas / plasma, the cut edges are not smooth.  These have to be ground / polished before they can be joined to other parts.  PLUS 2D Metal provides the option to specify Grinding Margin to some or all parts.  Further, this can be applicable to one or all sides.  See the figure on the right.  This gives you the rough and the finished size of the part with the specified grinding margins.

• Optional Module - Filler parts - Place standard parts in place of offcuts in the layout

PLUS 2D has an optional add on module called Filler Parts. During the nesting of required parts many times big offcuts are remain. Instead of keeping this offcut for later use you can use this offcut directly by specifying the regular used parts (Filler Parts) length. What PLUS 2D will do in this it checks, is there any offcut remain having length larger filler parts length and add part in it.

• Optional Module - Ring Optimization - Concentric and Non-Concentric patterns

• Optional Module - Large Parts with Joints - Optimize parts when they are larger than stocks

Parts having size larger than the stock sheets are called Large Parts. PLUS 2D has an optional add-on called Large Parts with Joints. This is an optional add on feature that will allow you to split parts that need joints and then nest, this smaller pieces, so as to get a high utilization. The large parts can be parts that are greater in size than the available stocks or parts that may be manufactured with joints.
